Elaine R. Wilford has been a practicing attorney since 1988. She is barred in Maryland and Pennsylvania and maintains an active practice concentrating in Insurance Defense, Medical Malpractice, Domestic and Family Law, and Wills and Estates.
Elaine is a Baltimore native. She attended the University of Baltimore, graduating cum laude in 1984 with a B.A. in Political Science and earned her J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1988. In 2015 she completed a Master of Science from Johns Hopkins.
Prior to joining Downs Ward Bender Herzog & Kintigh, her legal career included working many years at a prestigious insurance defense law firm. She also held a position with JAG Office at the Pentagon representing the Department of Defense in various environmental issues throughout the US and also was appointed as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Maryland’s Department of the Environment.
